After a narrow 1 nil win versus AFC Wimbledon last weekend, Michael Appleton takes charge of his first game at the Matchroom Stadium for the first time as 9 years ago Leyton Orient relegated the U’s with a 3 – 2 win back at the Kassam Stadium. Oxford go into the game full of confidence and with Callum O Dowda coming through the international break without picking up an injury and Danny Rose resuming full training the management team have a dilemma on who to name in the starting line up.
Leyton Orient are going to be a tough test for the U’s but with attacking prowess in Jordan Graham, Callum O Dowda, Kemar Roofe and George Baldock I think that we can cause the Orient defence some problems.
On Saturday I think that the United team to face Leyton Orient will look something like this:
Slocombe,
Baldock, Wright, Mullins, Skarz,
O Dowda, Sercombe, Lundstram, Graham,
Roofe, Hylton.
On the bench: Buchel/Stevens, Dunkley, Ruffels, Hoban, MacDonald, Carroll, Taylor.
My prediction: Leyton Orient 1 Oxford United 3.
The atmosphere will be electric as there will be over 1,000 U’s fans cheering the team on.
Come on you yellows!
