Cheyenne Dunkley

Chey signed from Kidderminster Harriers a few seasons ago. In our defence we had Jake Wright and Johnny Mullins. Even though “Wrighty” never scored he would always try and start attacks off.

Last summer, Michael Appleton released Jake Wright and he joined up with Chris Wilder at Sheffield United, who find themselves top of the Sky Bet League One table.

Northampton Town versus Oxford United

On a Sunny Saturday afternoon the yellow army travelled to Sixfields having lost 5 games against the newly promoted teams.

I’ve been watching Dunks (Chey Dunkley) carefully and is it me or has he looked shaky since his own goal v Bolton Wanderers back at Grenoble Road last Tuesday night? Does he need to regain some confidence? Curtis Nelson has covered Dunkley’s back for a couple of games now. If Aaron Martin was fit I’d have the defensive back line as Phil Edwards, Curtis Nelson, Aaron Martin and Joe Skarz. I would rest Dunkley.

Come the end of the season will Michael Appleton give new contract terms to Chey? I feel for Dunkley as he can head the ball really well. Time will tell but on my end of season shopping list I’d get a robust centre back, a big striker and a right midfielder.
