Rochdale vs Oxford United

Oxford United travel to Manchester on the back of a 2 – 1 defeat to AFC Wimbledon. Simon Eastwood will want to atone from his error that got the Cherry Red Records Stadium rocking. It was double delight for Wimbledon as they won 3 – 1 in front of the cameras at the Kassam Stadium.

My starting line up for the Dale would be: Eastwood in goal then Phil Edwards, Curtis Nelson, Chey Dunkley, Marvin Johnson, Alex MacDonald, Ryan Ledson, John Lundstram, Robbie Hall, Chris Maguire and Kane Hemmings. It seems harsh to drop Ryan Taylor but Kane Hemmings has been in hot form in front of goal. Last time out he scored a hattrick in the Checkatrade Trophy.

When United last went to Spotland Ryan Williams and Jake Wright were on the wrong end of a 3 – 0 drumming. Will the result be different tomorrow? Keith Hill has the nous of getting Rochdale into the top 10 every season. Currently they are in the top 7 and pushing hard for the playoffs come May.

Will Liam Sercombe and Joe Rothwell have a starring role to play in the second half of the season? I hope that we can keep Jack Redshaw and Bunney quiet. Mendez Laing is a danger man playing in defence.

Can United go on an unbeaten run? Will it be end to end and scrappy? Will it be a clean game? Will there be a handful of bookings?
