Oxford United vs Northampton

Next Tuesday night, the U’s take on the Cobblers in what I am sure will be a feisty encounter. Chris Wilder brings with him Kelvin Thomas, Ryan Clarke, Alfie Potter and Danny Rose. Are we the Cobbler’s feeder club? In the reverse fixture, Adam Smith who got sacked from Leicester for misdeamours was rightly man of the match. When will the Cobbler’s bubble burst? With Plymouth dropping points and with Oxford wobbling can the play off teams disrupt the excitement for the automatic promotion places?

Many United supporters reckon that this game is pivotal in the fight for the title and for promotion. Would Appleton change the line up? If I was manager I would put in O Dowda instead of Alex MacDonald because I think that O Dowda offers something different. It’s a shame that we can only field 11 players as I would play Maguire, Roofe, O Dowda and MacDonald. We need to set a high tempo, we can’t let Marc Richards or there midfield settle on the ball as the Cobbler’s team is full of goals as the table states the top 3 are there to be shot down. A draw will not be a great result.. We need 3 points.

Come on you yellows!
