Oxford vs AFC Wimbledon

Today the U’s face a Wimbledon side which has 3 ex Oxford players in the line-up. At left back they have Jon Meades who came to Oxford on the back of a good previous season but unfortunately in a pre season he got injured which ruled him out for the whole season. He left the U’s on a free this summer. Dannie Bulman, he was our motor in midfield when we were in the blue square premier. For Wimbledon he’s been an ever present thorn in the side. Sean Rigg had an injury ravaged last season with United. He scored the second goal last weekend vs Barnet. Up front the Wombles have Adebayo Akinfenwa who many punters call the “Beast” he’s a tremendous pillar of strength.

In United on the back of a morale boosting win over our nearest, fiercest rivals Swindon Town the gaffer has interesting options. Does he bring Danny Hylton in who’s a nuisance to the opposition or does he bring in Alex MacDonald? In his second season Kemar Roofe is quickly becoming a U’s fan favourite.

My United team for today:

Baldock, Wright, Mullins, Skarz,

Graham, Lundstram, Sercombe, Roofe,

Hylton and Taylor

My prediction 2 – 1 to United.
