Brentford vs Oxford United

Wow! What a game I witnessed last night at Griffin Park, the lads and lasses were out in full force as they were huddled around pub entrances and inside. You could really feel the excitement of a potential upset happening in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

Michael Appleton kept faith in the same eleven that played Crawley Town on the first day of the season.

Slocombe

Baldock, Wright, Mullins, Skarz

MacDonald, Sercombe, Rose, Roofe,

Taylor, Hylton.

In the first 4 minutes we were 1 nil up when Sercombe score from just outside the box. Then it was 2 nil when the ball fortuitously fell to the foot of Hylton. The scoreline could not have been any better for Oxford United as the fans were in fine voice before the start of the game, during the game and at full time. The pick of the goals was a 20 yard lob from Kemar Roofe who has some untapped potential. West Brom’s loss is our gain.. The last goal came from Johnny Mullins who struck the ball perfectly to ripple the back of the net. There were some great individual performances but for me my man of the match has to be Kemar Roofe.

Who will be able to stop this boys talent of ripping the net?

Next game is Sheffield Wednesday vs Oxford United in the capital one cup. Come on you yellows!
