It goes without saying how impressed I have been with John Still, the Luton Town manager. He has to be the Skrill Premier Manager of the Year as he looks to go 27 games unbeaten. It is a feat that not many managers can boast about in any league.
The Abbey Stadium will be packed to the rafters tomorrow night for the big match of the Skrill Premier. 1st vs 2nd. It remains to be seen whether or not it will be a cracker. However if Luton win then they are obviously going to be firm favourites to lift the Skrill Trophy.
For the clash, the Hatters will be without Luke Guttridge who has been a lynchpin in the midfield and Andre Gray, who has got so much class. Needless to say I haven’t actually seen this talented player play but with 25 goals that is highly impressive. In the scheme of things, Luis Suarez of Liverpool has only score 23 goals so far this season.
My question to those Hatters fans would be: when you get promoted to League 2 will you make wholesale changes or would you be realistic about where you would finish in the league? How much of a miss will Luke Guttridge be in the midfield battles?
Paul Benson leads the line for the Hatters and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was to be on the score sheet again tomorrow night.
My prediction for this top of the table clash is: Cambridge 2 Luton 3.
