End of Season and the Retained List

So after the season of highs and lows, long injury lists and good attacking football, the league 2 campaign has come to a disappointing end. If we had beaten Morecambe on Good Friday and drawn against Aldershot we would have made the play-offs. As we missed out on the play-offs by 4 points. Chris Wilder has released his retaining list which contains offering new contracts to Scott Davies, Luke O Brien, Alfie Potter, Deane Smalley and Andrew Whing.

At the end of this month the players that will be free agents are Michael Duberry, Peter Leven, Jon Paul Pittman, Josh Parker, Damian Batt, Tom Craddock, Tony Capaldi, Harry Worley, Liam Davis, Justin Richards, Luke McCormick and Simon Heslop  The players of the future of Oxford United are Max Crocombe, Ty Marsh, Callum O Dowda, David Lynn and Sam Long.  My starting eleven for next season is Clarke/Crocombe Whing, Wright, Raynes, O Brien? Alfie Potter? Scott Davies? Sean Rigg, Marsh and Constable.

This summer could be the making of a promotion push or for the play-offs. I hope that this time next season we will be in league 1.
