Still with a suspended duo and an injury list as long as my 3 middle fingers, Oxford head down to the capital in a confident mood after dispatching Exeter City 3 – 1 last time out; with goals from James Constable and Peter Leven scoring the lads will be hoping for more of the same. It seems likely that Chris Wilder will go for the same line-up but with Luke O Brien in the defence rather then Tony Capaldi (suspended) and Liam Davis (injury). I would imagine that the gaffer might try to give Jake Forster Caskey another run out as his loan spell is coming to an end.
After James’ double at St James Park the striker is in a rich vein of form going into today’s game. Can he break the top scorer tally in a yellow shirt? Tommy Craddock, Alfie Potter and Sean Rigg will be hoping to get behnd the Don’s backline to get crosses into the box for Beano to try and get some more goals. For this game it is a very important game as United are currently behind in the play-off race by 7 points. However that could all change if the lads can get 3 points. The season end is quite some way off – Anything can happen.
I’m going for an Oxford win 3 – 0. Come on lads!
